I had an old rail spike laying around and decided to forge it in fire and hammer out a knife. I had no particular design in mind until a few hammer strikes in. The blade is about 3 inches in length with a pointy spike on the opposite end. I wanted to keep it rustic and left some forge scale and tool markings. Can be used as a tool or for defense. This handmade knife is so ugly it earned the name “Devil’s Toe Nail”. I had fun making this knife as I had no set plan on what it was going to look like. 11 inches overall length. No sheath. Cool gift.
